Walking around the famous shopping district in Singapore helped loosen up my giddy nerves after a grueling week. When I got bored, I sat near the water fountain to rest, contemplate, and do people watchin’ for few minutes. :p
After 18 minutes, I was getting sleepy and I was already planning to go home when I saw a couple setting up their musical instruments on the side of the pathway near Orchard road. In no time at all, they started performing. The man was playing the instrument and the woman was singing. Their choice of songs were fantastic!
Some people were singing along and the kids were dancing. The couple set a relaxing and jovial mood in the area. Tourists and locals alike walk to them to request songs. Most of them gave money and even the adorable kids drop money in the “donation box”. People passing by were obviously fascinated and majority stopped to listen and some even took photos.
One particular song that caught my attention was their version of Jason Mraz song “I’m Yours”. It’s pretty amazing on how the delivery of the song brought a calming effect in my well-being. I will never forget that moment.
It’s been awhile since I watched them perform. Maybe I will drop by again one of this days…
See you when you see me!
