Oopsie! I unintentionally hibernated… again. 😉 I wrote my travel bag post around February 2016 and meant to tweak and post it before the beginning of March but it didn’t happen. Sigh… I know, I’m terrible. -_-
I campaigned for Duterte via Facebook. Yup! I’m one of his social media and prayer warriors… To be clear, I didn’t get paid for it. Yeah … yeah… I’m a die hard Duterte supporter (a.k.a. Dutertard)! Deal with it! :p
(I’m elated that in a short span of time, Duterte has already accomplished a much needed overhaul in the government… It’s a long way to go but I know he can deliver! Duterte surely deals with things like a BOSS!)
Went gallivanting around North and South Carolina together with the gigglers (a.k.a. Little Miss Wanderfuls). Why gigglers? Well…find out for yourselves…;)
I watched all 10 episodes of Season 6… I must say, it’s one of the best shows ever! Who are my top three favorite? Jon Snow, Arya Stark and Daenerys Targaryen. Oh! I also like Lyanna Mormont. She’s a badass! Need I say more? :p
I’m not a green thumb but my husband is! (Yes, I do have a husband. lol) I’ve been just messing around with the garden. Last year, I was in charge of planting and I might have been too generous with the carrot seeds . -_-
Planning to do a revamp and keep up with the times. My blog looks so 90’s. Ha! I’ve been researching for blog platforms…. It will take some time but I can make it happen. 😉
Sebastian Benedict is his full name. I’ve been checking his Facebook page almost every day! He’s so adorable! I also like SamSam, his little brother…. 🙂 It makes me smile whenever I see new posts about them. Keep spreading good vibes!
One day…. I’ll be able to post consistently…. One day. 😉 For now, I’ll continue sorting my photos and work on one blog post at a time. Gotta get this going! Aja!
… and I do hear you… I will do a blog post regarding the tidbits of my wedding 1.0 and wedding 2.0. 😀 You’ll be like.. “What? Two weddings?!?” Yes… two weddings. Details soon kiddos. 😉
2009… Frequent chest pains due to work related stress and getting hooked to games on Facebook (farmville and cafe world) prompted me to set up my blog site. In my point of view, blogging is a good way to vent out as well as inspire people. 🙂 It is a form of diversion that yields to a more productive result. It’s a lot better than playing online games. 😀
I used blog2print to turn my blog into a book. Editing and proofreading took months! From 2010-2013, I have written over 200 posts and compiled it all into two blog books that have over 200 pages in each book. 🙂 Isn’t that amazing? Whoa! I felt like I won the lottery! I gave the first copy to my family in the Philippines and printed another copy for myself.
Several friends expressed their interest in getting a copy too; however, the printing cost is super expensive. -_- I’m still looking for a more affordable printing company. Please give me a shout (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you know someone… :p
Third blog book is in progress… No candy crush for me! 🙂 See you later… alligator! 🙂
————————————————————————————— Before I get carried away blabbering about why I disappeared, I would like to thank Jellybean and Sothi for the enlightenment about the transformation of thecuriousme’s logo. Most of all, my heartfelt gratitude to Chihhang for helping J and @TheSoulfulVixen tweak the new look of the logo (click here to read the blog entry,”renovation”). Maraming salamat (Thank you very much)! 😀
Sooo… I had gone on hiatus for a couple of months (right… almost a year!!!)… Kinda like a submarine… You know… submarines float and then dive under the water… then resurface… then disappear again… -_-
Let’s just say, I was trying to live my life to the fullest and not waste time hiding in my cave. Yeah… I used to lock up in my nerd cave, living in a virtual world. I’ve realized that there’s more to life outside the four corners of my rock shelter! Life is indeed colorful and too short.
Expect to see fascinating new blog entries soon! 😉 FYI. Posts will be in no particular order.
To give you a birds eye view on some of the upcoming posts, here are some photos:
You’re not lost. Don’t worry, you’re still in thecuriousme site. I know it looks groovy! Thanks to my little sister, @TheSoulfulVixen, for creating the new classy logo and header. Yipey!
Right, thecuriousme is now evolving from a cute & naughty little fairy to a funky & sassy nerd. 😀 It’s some sort of transformation from “fairytale” to reality. 😀 I bet you’re getting pumped because you’ve just witnessed the first phase of thecuriousme “renovation”. 😉
No, the change is not a sudden decision. It has been in my to-do list for the last year to have a complete revamp of the site including the change of name. However, after contemplating for a few months, I have decided to stick with thecuriousme since it has already become my trademark.
More “interior” changes will happen soon whether you like it or like it. Ha!
Before I continue blabbering about how awesome to be in the AshRald circle, I need to control myself. I can already feel James Lee’s famous “dagger eyes” glaring at me (all the way from Singapore) and silently telling that I should get back on track. Shhh… James Lee is my buddy as well as my worst and best critic! 😉 (Click here to read related article -> Big Sister’s House)
Let’s get the ball rolling…
I admit I’m a “health” buff and I do love to work out… However, doing it continuously is an enormous challenge. My body is not flexible and since time immemorial, I have difficulty reaching my toes without bending my knees. It’s bizarre! To think that I’m so tiny like Tinkerbell. Tsk tsk tsk. The funny thing is, eating non-stop is totally a piece of cake for me and effortless for me. :p
Surprise… surprise! I bought a Mari Winsor Pilates dvd with a pair of mini “dumbbells” sometime last week. Doing Pilates for beginners really felt great but it took a toll on me and I stopped for few months and then, started again, then stopped for few weeks … and the cycle continues on and on and on…
Now, I’ve been dragging myself in doing the simple routines and incorporating some of the things that DJ Mitch (@TheSoulfulVixen) taught me. And to spice it up, I’ve also added the dougie dance moves. Boy! The last one definitely pumped me up! Whoa!
Anyway, slowly but surely. I’m getting there. Who wants join?
I know this is an awfully late post but… it’s better to be late than later! I want to commemorate the day when I tweeted like crazy and “freeze” the divine moment when I’ve mingled with such exceptional and groovy geeks!
It’s definitely a learning experience for me… It is quite similar to the Youth I.T. Congress in the Philippines but the barcamp is more intimate due to the limited number of participants. Thus, there’s a greater interaction between the participants and the speakers. And most of all, the registration was free as well as the food and drinks plus a souvenir shirt! Love it!:D
The topic that caught my attention the most was Chris Morix and Ryan Smith’s, How to Create an Award Winning Blog in 6-months. Yeah, I’m a blog fanatic. Moreover, Chris and Ryan were really hilarious speakers and their chemistry was absolutely terrific!
Anyhow, my twitter handle is @krungkrung4u (it means crazy for you).
If you are bold enough, follow me. Ha!
This was my most precious tweet: @krungkrung4u I can’t believe it! This is the first time i’ve tweeted so much in my whole twitterlife! LOL I can’t stop blabbering about #barcampyxe @VendAsta.
Having so many things in mind makes it challenging to pen down thoughts. Why did I decide on writing about defining moment? Well, succumbing to the clamor of reinventing my blog site definitely “pushed” me to write this entry.
For the past two days, I’ve been working on the technicalities and structure of the “ avant-garde” and rebranded site. Right now, it’s in the transition stage. I will fill you in once the ground works is completed.
I’m sure we all have experienced defining moment in our lives. It becomes the moment of truth wherein there’s a certain degree of that “point of no return” scene which will eventually lead to a metamorphosis.
Whether the end result is good or not so good, what matters most is having the backbone to decide and firmly acting on it with determination.
It’s already been more than a year (arghhhh!) since I’ve been planning to set up my not so ordinary blog site. It’s damn frustrating because its more complicated than what I’ve thought… sigh…
I wanted to set it up with my own domain name and create the blog site on my own without using the “ready made” sites for blogging. Now, I’m contemplating if I would just do it using those sites…think… think… think…
… Guess what? I ended up using the ready made sites. :p I signed up for wordpress for the blog site as well as for the domain name and hosting/mapping whatnot.
WordPress made it easy breezy for the lay out, design, hosting, etc. but there are still technical stuff that I need to get used to in order to maximize its features.
Below are my two major goals in putting up the site:
Publish personal experiences, views and opinions that could help inspire other creatures and inject a little sunshine in their world.
Publish unedited (RAW and REAL! :D) photos.
Yabadabadoo! I’ve finally started setting up my site with my own domain name. It absolutely feels good! Keeping the momentum up and generating traffic is definitely a huge challenge but I’m apt for it. Aja!
(Note: Aja is my favorite Korean word which means fighting or fight!)
