New York Tour! (1 of 2)

Click here for a preview -> “New York”

To be clear, this happened in 2012…
Thus, expect that there are a lot of changes back then and now…
I know…I know…  As usual, my post is late. :p

Anyway, watching Broadway shows and a taste of New York night out were scrapped from our list because we ran out of time. 😦 Who knows? I might be back someday… Hopefully, an angel will help me travel for free again. 😀

Ok… I’ll stop rambling now… Here’s the much awaited snapshots of a small town girl’s tour of New York!

That’s it for now folks! Coming soon… more photos and adventures! Up next will be “New York Tour! (2 of 2)”! Have a chillaxin’ weekend everyone! 🙂

I was cooped in my dungeon while quietly enjoying my Sunday when my cousin called and requested me to attend an affair on her behalf and accompany other relatives as well. I was hesitant at first because I was too lazy to go out and I was in the middle of proofreading my articles. In any case, she did manage to convince me.

After fulfilling my “duty” in the said event, I was eagerly preparing to go home and continue where I left off. However, I was “abducted” (in a good sense) and required to attend the impromptu after party in MG’s abode. The spur-of-the-moment fun and exciting shindig was abruptly cut off because most of us need to go to work early the following day. Before we all parted, a second round of “paralyzer” session was scheduled to be held on a long weekend.

with the boylets

Moving forward, we all met up in “SongBird & Dance Diva’s” chic mansion for the second round of “paralyzer” get together. The “gossip girl” within us seemed to be unleashed after several sips of the famous “paralyzer” drink. The discussion suddenly revolved around the celebrities in the Philippines.

(Note: If North Americans love hockey, football and soccer, majority of the Filipinos love basketball, boxing, beauty pageants and showbiz “news”. 😉 )

So as not to waste the night away talking about the Philippine entertainment industry, we all headed to Beily’s ultralounge for some “jiggy moves” .   Ha! We had a blast mingling with the younger generation.  Though, the youngsters sure become ferocious with too much alcohol in their system. It’s my first time to see people getting kicked out from a bar as well as a “bottle breaking contest” with matching shouting match. It was so exciting!

(Ignore me, I’m not a party animal, hence these were all new to me.:p )

jiggy moves!

moves like jiggy!

With all the commotion, lost claim stub and lost coat… we all went home safely. Thank goodness! 🙂 And sorry to disappoint you, we were not drunk. :p

I’m not sure on how the name “paralyzer” was derived but the drink was a mixture of vodka, milk, and whatnot. It does taste a lot like Bailey’s.

down & out

Nothing interesting… Just blabbering… Don’t read… :p

I have been very busy for the past few weeks (I don’t have time to “emote”), thus, my pent-up emotions is about to explode.  What pulled the trigger? Majestic Mom’s upcoming birthday (click here to read Royalville Gala). I’ll make it as short as possible. Indulge me.

I’m sure you have noticed that most of the time, “gone with the wind” creatures  suck up  to us when we are at our best. Like stray dogs , they lick, bite and chew all the “crumbs and bones” that they can get from us. However, when we are down and out, they’re gone with the wind like fart. Ha!

Anyway, we all hate crisis. But let’s face it, crisis often helps us identify true friends from “frenemies” (or the so-called “gone with the wind ss”). I must say, crisis is a blessing in disguise. I don’t care if you disagree. :p

Take note, once upon a time, when you’re down and out:

  • Who kicked your ass and pulled your hair until you bleed?
  • Who spread malicious rumours about you?
  • Who helped you get up and fought the battle with you?
  • Who comforted you and stayed with you all throughout even when you are cranky?
  • Who knocked some sense out of you when you are being unreasonable?
  • Who accepted you as you, not because of the glitz and glamour that you exude and possess?

Your so-called “gone with the wind ss” might belong to the gossip girls/boys who have been “silently” doing some nasty things behind your back.

Think about it.

Note:  See Royalville related articles:

Majestic Mom’s birthday is coming up! 😀 Thus, the Royalville family and friends will convene once more to honor the irreplaceable Queen of the Royalville. Careful though, the gossip girls (and boys?) and paparrazzis will surely be very busy (again)… Opzie! I think they’re at work all year round…

Her Majesty

On the other hand, I’m pretty sure, the Palace is almost ready for the much awaited Royalville Gala! It will definitely be more splendid than the previous year. Don’t worry Majestic Mom, Majestylet (a.k.a. TheCuriousMe) will attend via Skype. Ha! 😉 By the way, who’s your escort? Hmmmm….

Ladies’ love to be pampered by getting their nails done (manicure (a.k.a. mani) and pedicure (a.ka. pedi)) every now and then. As for me, I prefer to indulge myself with a deep-tissue massage. I find it more relaxing and worthy of spending my hard earned money.

I do clean my nails whenever I get the chance.  It was 4 years after I started working when I finally decided to go for a mani and pedi. I did it twice and the third time happened after 9 years. :p

It was on the third time when I realized why asking someone to do the mani and pedi is such an “IN” thing for ladies. First, it can magically transform the aura of the hands and the feet. Second, you will know the latest gossips in town from the gossip girl herself, the manicurist (or in a fancy term, nail technician)!

In that short span of time while she’s doing my nails, she managed to tell juicy gossips and at the same time, she amazingly tried to dig out colorful  information from me in a very prudent manner. I didn’t see that coming but still, I managed to be vigilant and not reveal too much information. Shall I go for mani and pedi again? Hmmm… maybe… in a few years time and in a different location.

Careful, careful Royalville and commoners! It seems like Gossip Girl is not only interested about the lives of privileged young adults in Manhattan’s Upper East Side  (New York City) but also loves to talk about the lives of the members of the Royalville as well as the commoners.

Mani and pedi anyone? Just beware!  XOXO!
