While getting “soaked” in the mineral spa pool, we all had an interesting chat about the symptoms of menopausal stage, how to clinch a boyfriend, beauty tips, family issues, sending money to the Philippines, and so on and so forth.
I was the youngest single lady (yes, you’ve read it right. youngest. :p ) so I can’t relate much with the menopausal topic. It did give me a scare though because I’ll be experiencing that in a few years time. Waaaah!
Although the pool looked a bit muddy because of the mineral contents, it did help ease my back pain. Also, the hot tub area of the pool was a hit for the grannies. I admit I liked it too!
Time and money wise…it was worth the trip! I was able to gain new friends, visit a new place and most of all, stay in the pool for four hours on the first day and two hours the next day. It certainly improved my social life, my blood circulation and relieved my body pain. Hence, I felt better when we went home. It was truly a relaxing weekend!
If you want to know the history, search it from the Internet or watch from the TV shows… which is incidentally the “in” topic this month…
I find it weird why people are making such a big fuss with this so called “V Day”. I wonder if this is the only day wherein couples give each other a special surprise? Just saying! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to sound like a bitter and pathetic old maid. Although, I’m old but I’m not bitter and pathetic. 😉
As of this moment, my most memorable V Day so far happened few years ago… That’s when I received a bouquet of roses, a ring, and a note. And the catch? I did not give him anything at all. :p In a way, I considered what he gave me during V Day as a bonus because V Day for me is whenever I received tiny notes from him every now and then.
However, that’s all in the past.
Up until now, I still prefer handwritten letter or a short note rather than a text message, chat or email. Maybe I’m abnormal but I find the traditional method more appealing and romantic. :p And to answer that lingering question at the back of your mind, yes, I’m single but my heart is taken. :p
Anyway, I will spend the V Day with my friends this year. It’s another impromptu outing that often end up wherever our feet will lead us. Ha!
As they say, if you can’t beat them, join them! Let’s all feel the breeze… the love in the air… and the romantic atmosphere…
Happy Heart’s Day everyone! Enjoy and careful, careful! Love, love, love!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers!
I’ve been asked a gazillion times when will I get married and it’s like a broken record that kept playing in my head whenever I hear that question. Sometimes, I still get irritated no matter how hard I try to play it cool. :p
I’m in my early 30s, and so what? As they say, life begins at 40. Ha! At any rate, I’m also human and I long to get married someday. However, entering the married life for the sake of having a husband and kids doesn’t appeal to me.
I could have been married a couple of years ago but I opted not to. Although, I suffered a lot of turbulent events because of that, it’s been one of the wisest decision that I’ve ever made in my entire life. My life could have been hell or even worse. Whew!
I definitely want to get married someday (sooner rather than later) BUT with the guy whom I would love and look forward to see and be with, day in and day out, in sickness and in health, through good times and bad times, through hardship and prosperity… Awwwwww…. I’m getting cheesy. :p
I want to spend the rest of my life with someone whom I really really really want to be with. Adoption will be an option if I can’t have kids by then. Also, I can just travel the world, earn buttload of bucks and find myself a good home for the aged to take care of me when I get old if I don’t crosspath with my “guy”. 🙂
Anyway, below are some of the standard replies that I’ve formulated to the frequently asked question, “when are you getting married?”:
in God’s time
Reaction: they look at me in a very strange way then shut up.
tomorrow, venue: Jollibee (Filipino version of McDonalds), food: kiddie meal (toy included which served as a souveneir)
Reaction: They laugh and say that I’m funny. Some actually believes it though. whoa!
next year, it will be in Las Vegas
Reaction: “Oh! How can we attend, We don’t have a budget for the airfare”
